University of Hyderabad carries out cutting edge

Right from its inception, the University has pioneered

integrated programme. It's post-graduate and

university presently has more than 322 faculty members who
have not only published extensively in national and
international journals but also won numerous national and
international awards, honours and recognitions for their
outstanding work in their respective fields.
Students
The
student strength has increased from 47 at inception to
more than 3000 as on date. One of the most interesting
features at UoH is that all students on the campus are
given fellowships. Students and scholars will find this
university an oasis for study and reflection. The
University is proud of the fact that it is the only
university in the country to provide fellowships to every
student at all levels. With state of art computing
support, the University has the distinction of being the
first institution in the country to have 68 mbps

connectivity.
Other
recognitions for UoH
University of Hyderabad is one of the first FIVE
universities in the country recognized by the UGC as a
University with Potential for Excellence. The thrust is to
promote Interface Studies and Research. Recently a UPE
committee visited the University to review the work done
in the first phase and evaluate the proposals submitted in
the second phase.
The
National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) has
reaccredited the UoH with a Cumulative Grade Point Average
(CGPA) of 3.89 on a four point scale at A Grade, which is
perhaps the highest grade ever given. The A grade
attributes a Very Good descriptor for the University and
is interpreted as High Level of academic accomplishment
expected from an
Institution.
