Hyderabad|India|January'2009: Foreign Nationals/Indian origin possessing passport of Foreign country visit Hyderabad City on different types of visas viz. Student Employment. Business, X, etc. and they are supposed to get themselves registered with Foreigners Registration Officers/ Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad as per the Registration of Foreigners Rules.

Presently, the Process of registration at Foreigners Registration Office is done manually and the Foreigners are put to lot of inconvenience as they have to wait for long hours at the Office.

In order to provide better service to foreign nationals, now they can register themselves with FRO Hyderabad through online i.e. they can submit the application form along with necessary details through online by accessing Hyderabad City Police Website at:
 " http://apps.appolice.gov.in/residentialpermitshyd/home.aspx"  and they can collect Residential Permit after visiting physically the FRO office on any working after 24 hours of their submission of form. They have to bring necessary original document during the visit. They can also generate an acknowledgement slip and application form after submitting the application form, which has be produced for collection of Residential permit.

Similarly, Indian nationals and resident of jurisdiction of Hyderabad Police Commissionerate have been applying for Police clearance Certificate for obtaining Visas/Green card of other countries before FRO Hyderabad. Presently the process is done manually and the applicant has to visit office twice i.e., once for submission and once for collection. Now the applications for police Clearance Certificate will be accepted Online and they can collect Police Clearance Certificate after visiting physically the FRO office on any working day after 7 working days of their submission of forms online, after submitting the desired documents.

The aforesaid applications have been designed in such a manner that applicants should not be inconvenience and also the functioning of Foreigners Registration Office can be efficient and smoother.

There is a provision of Exit permit, while registering online, which means that the applicant has to fill up the exit particulars, if he exits the country permanently. If he fails to do that and enters the country again on different visa, he cannot apply for online registration in such cases.

The Guidelines for registration of foreign nationals possessing different types of visas have been included for the convenience of applicants. For further information in connection with Visa requirement, it can be obtained at www.immigrationindia.nic.in

Another advantage of this application is that the data in connection with overstayed foreigners will be readily available on any given point of time.

The software applicant of this project has been designed by Labcal Biometric Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Road No. 10, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The project could be successfully completed because of assistance by Inspector General of Police, Police Computer Services and Pioneer Labs, who took care of hardware and connectivity aspect.

The Second Phase of the Online Project will cover Visa Extension for Foreign Nationals, Which is in progress and will be completely shortly.

The project of Online Registration for foreigners has been launched today i.e. 16-01-2009 by Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad.
