Great
Hyderabad Adventure Club aims to raise your adrenaline this
summer

Hyderabad|India|April'2010:
A craving for thrill, an intense liking to attempt the difficult, and a
passion for adventure is what drives 25 members of the Great Hyderabad

level to the Everest Base Camp, and climb the Kalapathar (18000 ft) and
Gokyo Ri Peak (17585 ft) in Nepal this May 2010.

overview of the different kinds of adventures planned and confirmed so
far.
More and more ideas and adventures are added by the very active and hard
working organisers who are dedicated to making this group a leading
adventure sports and activity centre for residents of Hyderabad. The fibre
and fabric of this is to provide a better quality of life as make new
friends in an exciting, healthy and safe manner.
Although the meet up group of Greater Hyderabad has announced their
schedule and adventures for this summer, more fun will be added as plans
and the need grow. GHAC is a non-profit organization focusing on weekend
getaways, with a physically challenging twist and professionals on hand to
help one explore their active side.
The group is currently made up of professionals in their early twenties to
those in their late forties. There are also two junior divisions that plan
appropriate children’s activities. The Kids Adventure Trek to a resort in
Ananthagiri Hills Vikarabad is scheduled for 02 April 2010 which is aimed
to fostering personal growth and instilling courage and confidence through
outdoor activities. GHAC is healthy non-alcoholic non-smoking group that
ultimately creates camaraderie and great memories. It is also the largest
meet group in Hyderabad, currently having over 1500 active members.
When asked what drives Diyanat, the founder and chief organizer for the
Great Hyderabad Adventure Club, to invest atleast two hours a day making
sure this group is successful and its members enjoy their trips, even
though he has a full time job, he said, "Outdoor Adventure activities
makes you mentally strong and resilient, allows you to take realistic
risks, instills courage and increases confidence in ones abilities to
perform in face of obstacles or difficulties in real life."
Gary Bathers, an ex-pat from UK working in Hyderabad, when asked why he
joined GHAC, said "How else are you going to get some proper fresh air
outside of Hyderabad?" Many such youngsters from different places have
found a home away from home to enjoy their weekends and learn new
activities.
The kids' section is divided into two age categories: 7-12 and 13-17. One
parent is allowed to accompany the child if they so choose. The
interaction and organizational skills the children will develop is aimed
to foster a capable and competitive attitude in their future. It also
makes it easy for parents to help broaden their horizons without much time
and effort on their side, and in a safe, controlled environment.
The way to join and learn more is simple: Log on to their web site and
register. Then browse through their Calendar and see which weekend and
which activity works best for you and your schedule, and plan your first
adventure.
So hurry up and join before the summer kicks off and it is too hot to make
your own plans, and enjoy new, fascinating adventures. Not much
preparation is needed since GHAC provides the essential gear such as camps
and helmets, rappelling gear etc.
The group is getting increasingly popular with youngsters looking to
utilize their weekends in a fun filled and adventurous way, and GHAC
provides all the necessary information to make this easy and do-able.
Accordingly, they make the arrangements from start to finish and provide
the group with researched information.
