delicious cups of coffee right in your home?
Café Coffee Day, India’s largest retail chain
of coffee cafés, is now taking the coffee
experience to homes in Hyderabad through
‘Coffee Festivals’ starting from their 50th
café at Charminar. For the next few days,
consumers can visit select Café Coffee Day’s
cafés in Hyderabad and learn how to get the
right brew using home coffee making equipments
like the coffee plunger and stovetop espresso
maker, and also learn the art of brewing light
and strong coffees.
At the first Coffee Festival in the city,
Felix Daniel, Café Coffee Day’s own
International coffee expert and Brew Master,
conducted a special workshop showcasing the
fine art of coffee making and shared many
interesting facets of coffee art. At the end
of the workshop, people gained more knowledge
about their favorite beverage and also

Speaking at the first coffee festival held at the 50th café at Charminar
in Hyderabad, Felix Daniel said, “Coffee drinking is becoming more and
more a part of the everyday Hyderabad lifestyle and our 50th café in
Hyderabad is testimony to this trend. Coffee drinking is at the center of
several moods and dialogues in cafés and at homes. The coffee festivals
are to help consumers take the café taste and experience into their own
homes where their can easily make their own rich aromatic coffee brews for
themselves and their guests.”
The Amazing Coffee Beverage
Coffee is one of the select drinks that has universal appeal and is the
world's second most popular drink after water. It is a sure pleasure
giver, no matter when, where, or how it is consumed and has the great
ability to mesmerize the mind and tantalize the taste buds. Coffee is
without a doubt a social lubricant and indeed the ‘elixir’ of life…
The culture around coffee drinking and coffeehouses dates back to 16th
century Turkey, where coffeehouses were traditionally social hubs, as well
as artistic and intellectual centers. Even those who were not coffee
lovers would spend time in coffee houses just to enjoy the atmosphere.
Over the years, a revival of this culture has been seen in our country and
is moving into homes as well. Today, coffee drinking in India has matured
from the cappuccinos and lattes to consumers enquiring about and
appreciating the darker espressos.
