2nd phase of
100-days of City Development worth Rs.1000 cr.

Reddy said that the 2nd phase of 100-days programme for the beautification
of Hyderabad City will be commenced from the end of October and assured
that the Government is taking all efforts and utmost care for the safety
of the public and protection of public and private properties and firm
action will be taken on the miscreants. The Chief Minister said that even
though small hindrances are there, the Hyderabad City is a safe city and
progressing faster than any other cities in the Country.
The Chief Minister was speaking after inaugurating the two-day exhibition
of "Andhra Pradesh Real Estate Developers Association" (APREDA) here at
the Hitex premises, Madhapur. The Chief Minister said that the development
and beautification of roads and parks, electrification, traffic facilities
etc. in the first phase of 100-days programme was recently completed. He
said that the City of Hyderabad is known for its traditional and cultural
background and a blend of modern technology. Hyderabad is in the forefront
in various other sectors like construction, IT, Pharma, Higher Education
etc.
The Chief Minister announced that the 158-kilo metre long Outer Ring Road
will be completed in all aspects by 2013 and said that almost major
portion of the ORR will be without signals for free flow of traffic, but
unfortunately the accidents are occurring on this road, forcing the
government for speed breakers. The Chief Minister also assured that the
teething problems for the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project will be solved.
The Chief Minister said that this is the right time to buy houses and
sites as the rates are reasonable and affordable to middle class families.
The Chief Minister also spoke about the "Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu" programme,
which is aimed to provide 15 lakh jobs to the youth in the next three
years. The National Construction Academy (NAC) is directed to provide
training and jobs at least one lakh people every year. The progress of the
real estate and construction sector is important for fulfilling the Rajiv
Yuva Kiranalu programme. The Chief Minister assured to look into the
modification of G.O.Ms.No.45 for which the report of the Committee is
awaited.
