Drishti Systems Pvt. Ltd a privately held Technology company located in
Hyderabad, India which has been focusing on development and implementation
of networking and embedded solutions for Domestic and Global Markets has
been identified as one of the best innovative research companies in India
by Euro-India. Some of the other names in the list of best innovative
companies are IIIT Hyderabad, CDAC, Microsoft India R&D, Bombay Stock
exchange, D-Link India and Reliance Infocomm.
In a communication received by the company from Euro-India, it stated that
it Euro-India that Drishti Systems Pvt. Ltd has been identified as one of
the innovative companies in India. The process of identification of
innovative companies in India is being undertaken by the Copenhagen
Business School as the lead investigator on the project, funded by the
European Union. The project is in collaboration with IIT-Mumbai, IIT-Chennai,
Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore, University of Calcutta, and
International Management Institute-Delhi.The Euro-India project has three
objectives: first, to map the Indian ICT innovativeness, second, to share
with all interested the Indian innovation story, and third to create
awareness for greater Indian partnership in EU framework programs.
The objective of the EuroIndia ICT Co-operation road mapping exercise is
to scientifically and comprehensively map the ICT R&D potential of India
and indicate the development of emerging technological trajectories for
Euro-India collaboration.
The methodology is designed to address three key objectives: 1. to create
a base line of companies that are deemed to either engage in R&D or are
considered innovative 2. to create a base line to address theoretical bias
and to address sampling issues.
The methodology used by EuroIndia is a four step one, namely: 1. The
historical module, to understand the historical trajectory of ICT R&D from
past publications, local trade journals etc 2. The monitored web survey
module to develop a national understanding of the ICT R&D picture in India
3. The grounded module to focus on specific institutional, organizational
issues relating to particular case companies who have been identified
during the previous two stages 4. The Delphi module to forecast trends and
trajectories of ICT R&D in India . Preliminary results of the ICT road
mapping exercise will be presented at the International Conference 22-23
January 2009.
