Free seminar on Admission for R.I.T.Master's programs held  in Hyderabad on 9th February
First On-Campus US programs for Indian students

Rochester Institute of Technology, New York USA, ties up with Asia Pacific Institute of Management for providing Masters of Sciences courses

Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, USA which is ranked 4th among the northern schools in U.S will soon be offering it's Masters programs through it's Indian partner Asia Pacific Institute of Management. These programs are different from other foreign programs being conducted in India as this is for the first time that a US on campus Masters program is being offered in this country.

In a tie-up with the Rochester Institute of technology (RIT) at Rochester USA, the Delhi-based Asia Pacific Institute of Management will offer MS degree courses at its campus. With this partnership Asia Pacific becomes the first institute in India to have a tie-up with an American College to impart full time, American education at its campus in New Delhi.

The full program's course content will be entirely from RIT. The University will also assess the faculty. The final degree for the courses i.e. the Masters of Science in Software Development and Masters of Science in Cross Disciplinary Professional studies will be granted by RIT which will be totally similar to the one granted by RIT to it's on campus scholars. Initially the institute will offer two of its programs at Asia Pacific Institute's Campus at New Delhi. Subsequently the number of programs will gradually increase.

Asia Pacific will be an enabler for the students who wish to have an American degree without leaving their country and that too at an affordable cost. For the final completion of the courses all students must have achieve a TOEFL score of 550,though this is not a prerequisite for the admission to the courses. Further the student should have completed 16 years of educational studies.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Joseph T Nairn. , Director , RIT said, "Though India is seen as a huge resource pool for satisfying the world-wide demand for information technology specialists, the country itself does not offer any specialist information technology program that will equip Indians to apply for jobs on an equal footing with professionals from around the world."

Commenting on the tie up with RIT, Mr. A.K. Shrivastava, Chairman, of Asia Pacific "We found that a huge vacuum exists in terms of International exposure to Indian students. Cost of acquiring an international degree is really prohibitive hence we searched for an institute which matches the world standards and help in nurturing of practical talents of students. RIT came as an obvious choice as it is one of the most imitated institutes of U.S. From computer education to software programming and development, Indian brains are considered the most respected. Apart from a large work force, India's leadership in software can be attributed to the development of a comprehensive education network right across the country bringing it within everyone's reach."

A free seminar on admission for R.I.T.Master's programs in Hyderabad was held on 9th February at Hotel Taj Banjara.
